Bio:

Erica Van Steen (she / her) is a Senior Director at MLT. She currently leads the Experienced Talent Network, a platform changing how organizations build their workforce with diverse professionals. She previously established MLT’s Advisory Services business when she joined this leading racial equity nonprofit in 2019.

Erica is working to advance social impact and systemic change in the areas of gender, race, sustainability, and public services. She recently served on the Partnership for Public Service Federal Racial Equity Advisory Board and previously the Social Value-US founding Board of Directors. She currently serves as a Board Member for CentroNía DC, an award-winning nonprofit demonstrating how to make world-class, bilingual early childhood education affordable and accessible.

Erica is a certified DE&I Practitioner (USF) and Global Human Capital Strategist (HCI), and holds certificates in Data Visualization (TEI), Impact & Outcomes Assessment (TEI), Survey Design (JPSM-UMD), Design Thinking for Business (UVA-Darden) and Survey Psychology (JPSM-UMD). She is an alumna employee of the Partnership for Public Service, Booz, UK Parliament, and the boutique
consulting firm, Herren. Erica earned her MSc in Social Policy Research from the London School of Economics’ Centre for Analysis of Social Exclusion. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa with comprehensive honors in Sociology and English Literature from the University of Wisconsin. Erica resides in Washington, D.C. with her young family.
