Bio:
Janice O’Keeffe is Senior Vice President, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Program Manager at Citizens. In her current
role, she oversees programs that continue to shape an inclusive and innovative environment across the bank. She also
serves as strategic advisor to the bank’s seven Business Resource Groups, helping them to identify opportunities to drive
business outcomes and execute programs that engage the bank’s colleagues in our DE&I efforts.
Prior to her work in DE&I, O’Keeffe was responsible for directing the bank’s corporate social responsibility program and
reporting since 2017. She joined Citizens in May 2011, as New York Public Affairs Director, responsible for the bank’s
charitable contributions, community outreach, philanthropic activities, marketing sponsorships and media relations across
the state.
Previously, she spent 15 years at Philip Morris, Inc., and its parent company, Altria Group. During her tenure,
O’Keeffe directed the national public affairs activities of the company, including consumer affairs, charitable giving,
trade and business relations, regional government relations and legislative advocacy programs.
O’Keeffe earned her bachelor of arts magna cum laude from Fordham University in political science and received a
master’s degree in public administration from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. She
served for 10 years on the board of Trinity Alliance of the Capital Region.
